Trump's apparent threat to end US trade deals with top allies came as he feuded with French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other leaders over the trade war he instigated late last month.

Mr Trump's imposition of tariffs on steel and aluminium imports has sparked anger, with even U.S. allies falling subject to them.

Trudeau on Saturday said the U.S., Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Japan figured out "consensus language" they could all agree to. He also said other nations had taken advantage of decades of USA complacency with regards to trade, something that he planned to end.

Trump is issuing a stern warning to foreign countries not to retaliate against U.S. tariffs on the imports of steel and aluminum.

Once again, he emphasized that the days of the USA getting the short end of the stick in its trading relationships with the world were over under his watch.

In May, Trump hit Canada, Mexico and the European Union with steel and aluminum tariffs as part of an effort to create "FAIR TRADE" agreements with America's partners.

The EU said it will impose the "rebalancing" tariffs on about $3.3 billion (2.8 billion euros) worth of USA steel, bourbon, agricultural products including sweet corn, orange juice, cranberries and certain clothing made of cotton.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said earlier that Russia's return to the club was out of the question.

"This is what a G7 is supposed to be about - all of us pulling together and doing things that matter for our citizens and for the world", Trudeau said.

USA woman, 47, feared dead after human arm found inside alligator
Between 1948 and past year , there were 401 people bitten by alligators, including 24 fatalities, the commission has said. Myrna Bernard and her daughter Rachel Bernard, 18, live south of the pond and said alligator sightings are not rare.

The document showed the group of rich, developed nations remained divided in the crucial area of protecting the planet from climate change - and it gave a clear statement that the United States remained the outlier.

Trump said the G7 leaders were united in their approach to the "threat of Iran" and committed to controlling the country's "nuclear ambitions".

Theresa May insisted that she had exchanged warm greetings with the United States president and he had said how much he was "looking forward" to his visit. "I think within the first minute I'll know", Trump said.

Trump said at the White House just before departing.

"Are you disappointed the President is leaving early?" a reporter asked Trudeau.

Among other things, Barro wrote, Russia was kicked out of the alliance under the Obama presidency and Trump enjoys undoing Obama's actions; other G7 leaders have a few bones to pick with Trump that Russian President Vladimir Putin may not; Putin and other autocrats flatter Trump more than democratically elected leaders do; and with Putin at the table, it would take some of the heat off Trump. The move has brought fears of a trade war.

"I would say that the level of relationships is a 10 - we have a great relationship".

President Trump proposed a major shakeup of the world's economic order during a summit in Canada this week, suggesting the world's big economies drop all tariffs and market-distoring subsidies and go to a fully free system of trade.

"Canadians are polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around". "We're looking for peace in the world, we're not looking to play games". The White House also announced he would cut short his time at the two-day summit and leave on Saturday morning.
