$315.3M Powerball victor from N.J. has stepped forward

The latest Powerball drawing offers another hefty jackpot for anyone fortunate to hold a lottery ticket with the right numbers.

He found out he was the victor the next day. "I like the number", he said before buying the tickets.

But on the way to the carwash, he stepped into a 7-Eleven convenience store to check the tickets. And the second ticket it was good, but always I see $2, $4, but that day I see, 'Must be seen by the retailer.' I scan it again and it [said the same thing]. I think your machine is not working'.

"My heart, it was just beating, beating, beating", he said, as the Post reported. "And she kept saying, 'Oh, my God".

Souami told reporters that he was "very emotional" after walking into the press conference with a wide smile on his face.

It wasn't known Thursday if the victor had made a decision to claim the lump sum or take their winnings over time.

Souami, originally from Africa, moved to the United States in 1996.

"I have to take care of them", he told ABC.

Souami, a 53-year-old father of two added he plans to pay off his college loans, pay for his daughter to go to college next year and pay off his home. His windfall is the fourth largest jackpot in the history of the New Jersey Lottery. In March, a Vernon resident won the $533 million Mega Millions prize.

"I love orange juice now", he said, laughing.
