"Gears of War" will be coming to mobile under the title "Gears Pop", Microsoft announced at its E3 showcase Sunday. Microsoft tapped Splash Damage, a United Kingdom studio that handled PC ports of earlier games in the series, to make Gears Tactics. The other spin-off is a strategy game called Gears Tactics. Studio head Rod Fergusson talked about the evolution of the "Gears of War" franchise at the event.
The game will feature character designs based off of the collectible Funko figurines of the characters. Microsoft says this will be the "biggest, most lovely Gears world ever created", and you can get your first glimpse of it in the reveal trailer below.
