He later strolled along the harbor at the heart of the central business district with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, who tweeted a selfie with Kim.

"The tweet showed Balakrishnan, Kim and Singapore's education minister Ong Ye Kung smiling broadly at the camera along with the caption: "#jalanjalan #guesswhere?"

Daily NK, a South Korean website focusing on North Korea news, reported in 2015 that "the restrooms are not only in Kim Jong Un's personal train but whatever small or midsize cars he is traveling with and even in special vehicles that are designed for mountainous terrain or snow".

Trump and Kim are expected to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Singapore, which is 9 p.m. Monday in NY.

All eyes are on Singapore for this event, with 2,500 journalists from all over the world descending onto the city-state to cover the summit.

Dennis Rodman, NBA player and friend Kim Jong-un, arrived in Singapore ahead of the summit.

From there, the two will engage in more talks with advisers joining them through a working lunch.

While advisers say Trump has been reviewing briefing materials, the president insists his gut instincts will matter most when he gets in the room with Kim. As the site for their meeting, the two leaders have chosen one of Singapore's most luxurious hotels, the Capella Resort on Sentosa Island, a popular vacation spot off the southern tip of Singapore and home to Universal Studios Singapore.

The guards must be about the same height as Kim, BBC said.

Later, Pompeo shared a picture of Trump speaking with the staff of the U.S. Embassy in Singapore.

Kim's ventures in Singapore come ahead of Tuesday's historic summit with President Trump, which will be the first meeting between a sitting US president and a North Korean leader.

He had his first formal meeting of the summit with the prime minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong.

The meeting was kicking off at 9 a.m. local time Tuesday with a handshake between Trump and Kim.

"Because of difficulties finding a job these days, I have lost much interest in those things".

While fighting a trade war with allies, Trump now brings his America First negotiating style to the deadly topic of North Korea's nuclear weapons.

On Monday evening in Singapore, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters that complete denuclearization "is the only outcome that the United States will accept" from Pyongyang, and that the latter will enjoy no economic relief until it has met that demand.

"It's about attitude", Trump said.

Kim is expected to stay at the St Regis hotel and Trump at the Shangri-La, both in the Tanglin area in downtown Singapore.

North Korea, it concludes, can only "actively contribute to world peace and human wellbeing", by engaging with other nations.
