Square Enix's E3 2018 showcase is short and sweet

Square Enixannounced special editions and debuted a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III during its E3 2018 showcase. Although it came out in Japan last year, it will finally make its way to the United States on September 4th of this year.
While Square Enix's showcase was ultimately disappointing, it's all their own doing.
That suggests the transition we saw in the video is how the game works - blending TV show style cut scenes with gameplay. There's just such a harsh divide between the extended demos of Western games coming out of what used to be Eidos and the nigh-incomprehensible trailers of Japanese role-playing games from Square Enix proper. But the biggest disappointment for us is the lack of news of whatever Square Enix's Marvel project is going to be.
More information was promised in August, which perhaps means Gamescom.

Square Enix showed off a chunk of gameplay from the upcoming Tomb Raider game, showing Lara Croft pulling off a whole bunch of deadly and creative stealth assassinations.
Just Cause 4's existence still seems rather baffling, as despite having a longer trailer than at Microsoft's media briefing there was no mention of any multiplayer features or other unique selling points that might justify another sequel to a series that has never seemed to be particularly popular.
That trailer also featured more footage of the confirmed worlds and even some new hints at the major plot of the game. The dialogue was pretty very bad though and it wasn't made any better by the British-accented voiceovers. Final Fantasy XIV is crossing over with Monster Hunter World in an attempt to trap the worst people.

GoW5 is set for a 2019 Xbox , and Windows 10 platform release and the story mode picks from where the series last title left off. That being said, if it is pretty much more of what we're used to ... well, there are much worse things.
