13 June 2018, 01:05 | Darnell Patrick
"I got so many death threats", Rodman said, in tears.
Rodman also appeared to take credit for bringing the men together and said he always believed in helping North Korea.
"I was sitting up, protecting everything and when I came home I couldn't even go home".
"I kept going back", he said. "I don't need to worry about the war stuff, I don't know anything about that".
The internet reacted with all its usual wit and invention as former National Basketball Association star, and self-styled diplomat, Dennis Rodman turned in a freaky TV appearance following the meeting of Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un. I am here to see it.
"Everything else should be in Donald Trump's hands and people in the White House's hands", Rodman said.
The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant described Kim as a "big kid" who wants to see the world, openly crying as he spoke.
"I got so many death threats", Rodman told the CNN host. And I think that Trump will realize that Kim Jong Un is a great guy, inside, and put politics aside. "I'm thanking Jeanie Bus", Rodman told Cuomo, adding, "I'm thanking Eddie Vedder, the Pearl Jam [sic], everybody that's supported me through all these things".
Rodman, who has struck up an unlikely friendship with the basketball-loving North Korean leader, arrived in the city-state about nine hours before the summit - an attempt to negotiate an end to a decades-old nuclear stand-off. Just in case you weren't aware that PotCoin sponsored the trip, Rodman wore their t-shirt with the url prominently displayed in the interview.
"Donald Trump is going to do a great job". "He really wants to go watch a basketball game". "If you can do certain things, I would listen, my ears would be open, '" Rodman said.
White House officials have said Rodman will play no official role in the diplomatic negotiations. I never had no one to hear me. "I didn't know anything about North Korea". "He's trying to protect his people, his honor, and everything that has to do with his country".
Before an interview with Rodman on "Cuomo Prime Time", Clapper said he had long thought Rodman was an important part of the process. Rodman continued to vent and weep.
The US President and North Korea's leader have finally met.
