James agrees to four-year, $154 million deal with Lakers

Should Bosh get cleared and made a decision to play in would reunite him with not only James but his former agent and current Lakers GM Rob Pelinka.

"LeBron James, four time NBA MVP, three-time NBA finals MVP, 14-time NBA All-Star, and two-time Olympic gold medallist, has agreed to a four-year $154 million contract with he Los Angeles Lakers", Klutch Sports Group said in a statement. In that time, his agent, Rich Paul, had conversations with the Cleveland Cavaliers and reportedly a meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Lakers are also continuing their pursuit of Kawhi Leonard to add another superstar to pair with James.

James has been one of the top priorities of the Lakers for quite some time now, and they were able to get the job done by signing him this offseason.

But it's also fair to mention James did hold up his end of the bargain.

He will be entering his 16th season in the league.

James' agency announced his four-year, $153.3 million deal with the National Basketball Association giants on Sunday, and Ibrahimovic immediately took to Twitter to welcome the new King of the West.

Bolton simply said tat a "direct conversation" between the two leaders is an important starting point. As recently as Thursday, Trump tweeted that Moscow says it did not interfere.

Having cap space doesn't always result in star players coming as the Lakers know, but this time it worked, as the Lakers were able to sign LeBron James.

In Los Angeles, LeBron joins a Lakers team that has a promising core of young players around which to build, including PG Lonzo Ball, SF Brandon Ingram, PF Kyle Kuzma, PF/C Julius Randle, and PF/C Moritz Wagner.

Because it is Los Angeles, several celebrities weighed in on James' decision to join the Lakers. He had returned to his hometown team and helped lift the 57-year drought of major sports teams in Cleveland without a championship.

And unlike eight years ago when he ripped James for leaving, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert thanked him.

In short, there's a reasonable chance that LeBron James could wind up playing in the National Basketball Association either with - or far more interestingly, against - his own dang son. The appeal of playing for one of the league's most storied teams is another allure.

The Lakers won't be good enough to compete with the Warriors this season, though they will undoubtedly be entertaining after signing Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee, of all people, Sunday night to play alongside James.
