‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ rules the box office again
The estimated domestic total for Fallen Kingdom stands at $264.79 million. Overseas, the Universal and Amblin Entertainment blockbuster pulled in US$56.1 million this weekend.
And North American audiences came out in larger than expected numbers for both "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" and "Uncle Drew". In four weeks, the Warner Bros. heist film has amassed $114 million at the domestic box office.
Lower down on the charts the Indian film Sanju, a biopic about Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, earned an impressive $2.6m from only 356 screens in its opening weekend.

In the film NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving stars as Uncle Drew with an ensemble cast that includes Lil Rel Howery, Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, Lisa Leslie, Erica Ash, with Tiffany Haddish, and Nick Kroll. The film also managed to nab an A CinemaScore. Sunju made $2.55 million from only 365 screens, giving it the week's third biggest screen average.

But even without a record-breaker or a $100 million movie, the box office is still up 15.3% from last summer's abysmal performance and 9.3% for the year overall. The superhero sequel is now tracking between US$68 million and US$80 million.
"The much-anticipated debut of Disney's Ant-Man and The Wasp will get the momentum train rolling again with what will be the latest in an impressively long line of box office and critical hits for the Marvel brand", ComScore box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian says.
