He shared the image because he felt the house showed a far different from the struggle-filled childhood in the Bronx Ocasio-Cortez claims to have had, but believe it or not the tweet didn't wind up working in his favor.
"Hey John, 1. I didn't go to Brown or the Ivy League".
The article came just days after Democrat socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upset incumbent Representative Joe Crowley in the race for New York's 14th District. In fact, her campaign website clearly mentions that she moved to Yorktown Heights from the Bronx when she was five in order for her to receive a better education.
In her viral campaign video, Ocasio-Cortez said, "I wasn't born to a wealthy or powerful family. mother from Puerto Rico, dad from the South Bronx".
Ocasio-Cortez's platform was primarily based on her ability to relate to the working class citizens as she and her family belong to that community.

Out-Of-Control County Fire Grows To 44,500 Acres
In Colorado, more than 2,500 homes were under evacuation orders as firefighters battle more than a half-dozen wildfires. The homes that are threatened about 80 miles (129 kilometres) southeast of Salt Lake City are not primary residences.
But Ocasio-Cortez shot back. Ocasio-Cortez is known for being one of the most left-leaning candidates in the 2018 midterm elections. She ended up attending public school 40 minutes north in Yorktown, and much of her life was defined by the 40 minute commute between school and her family in the Bronx. "I was born in a place where your Zip code determines your destiny".
Soon afterward, Cardillo admitted flubbing Ocasio-Cortez's alma mater but added, "that said, you're not a girl from the Bronx".
I have SO many questions about what AOC's win (and, yes, I'm referring to her as AOC occasionally because it's too long a name to write out over and over) means - both for her and the party.
Crowley received only 42 percent of the vote, while Ocasio-Cortez earned 58 percent, the New York Times reported. She's a self-described democratic socialist, a pro-abolish ICE candidate, and is part of the ascendant progressive wing of the Democratic Party.
Ocasio-Cortez and Cardillo did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Chris Bosh could join LeBron James with Lakers
While there had been dialogue between Paul and Altman since the season ended, James had not given the team any sense of his plans. Joining James in Los Angeles certainly makes sense from a career perspective. "This will always be home".
