Real Madrid Deny Making Neymar Offer

Real Madrid deny €310m bid for Neymar in official club statement

Spanish television channel TVE reported on Monday that the Champions League winners had submitted the bid for the player who left Barcelona a year ago for a record €222 million.

There's absolutely no way at all that Neymar's off to Real Madrid any time soon.

Real Madrid have denied a report that they have offered a world-record €310 million for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Neymar.

Real were quick to knock it down, saying in a statement they had not been consulted by TVE before the broadcast.

Real, however, responded to the latest reports with a statement of their own, denying that they have made an official offer for Neymar's services.

Vt. woman seriously injured in Bahamas tour boat explosion
Coast Guard Southeast reported it assisted the Royal Bahamas Police Force on Saturday after receiving a request for help. She underwent a double leg amputation after suffering life-threatening injuries from the incident.

"To Real Madrid it is surprising that the Spanish public broadcaster has been able to broadcast absolutely false information without anybody at the channel having made contact with anyone to confirm the supposed information that is easily proven false".

The 26-year-old, who scored the first goal in Brazil's 2-0 win over Mexico in the last 16 at the World Cup, will face Belgium in the quarter-finals on Friday evening.

Whether Real Madrid publicly discussing a player who isn't theirs is a plan to potentially unsettle the player remains to be seen.

It would certainly hint that their interest in Neymar is real, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio all facing uncertain future under new manager Julen Lopetegui.
