NEW YORK-President Donald Trump's private Palm Beach resort is seeking permission from the government to hire 40 additional temporary foreign workers to staff Mar-a-Lago during the ritzy Florida community's busy season, according to United States Department of Labor records released Thursday.
The H-2B visas are for temporary non-agricultural workers and employers requesting these must prove that there are not enough workers in the USA who are "able, willing, qualified, and available to do the temporary work".
Since late 2015, Mar-a-Lago has filed 10 separate requests for multiple temporary work visas for foreign employees.
Trump's own immigration plan calls for "companies to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed".
The posting further revealed the commander-in-chief's club plans to pay a minimum of $12.68 an hour to the workers, who will be reportedly employed from October to the end of May.
