Chu Ready to Adapt Thai Rescue Story

This handout video grab taken from footage released by the Royal Thai Navy yesterday shows a member of the ‘Wild Boars’ Thai youth football team being moved on a stretcher during a rescue operation inside the Tham Luang cave in Khun Nam Nang

Dr Harris specifically noted the efforts of the four British divers who led the search for the soccer team and laid the rope which would eventually be used to bring the 13 out of the cave.

"I want to tell the guys that I miss them and that I want to hug them", Wild Boars teammate Supaghid Pragaihong told news agency Agence France-Presse.

They ended up stranded on a ledge in the darkness for nine days before they were found by two British divers on July 2.

The Thai Navy Seals have released dramatic footage of the operation, giving greater insight into just how unsafe it was.

Volanthen praised the entire global rescue team, which included 90 of the best scuba divers from around the world, for saving the group, who became trapped when monsoon rains struck on June 23 and flooded their exit.

"The Thai authorities took a lot of steps to divert rivers on the mountain top which we believe bought us as lot of time to get this outcome", he said.

The IT tech said that the divers were not heroes and directed attention to the rest of his team and the Thai Navy Seals. What we do is very calculating, very calm.

All 12 of the boys and their 25-year-old coach were brought to safety over the course of a three-day rescue, organised by Thai Navy SEALs and an global team of diving and caving experts, that ended on Tuesday.

The youth football players, who remain in hospital, reportedly told their parents, that they had barely begun their trek when flooding suddenly blocked their exit, forcing them further into the Luang Nang Non Cave in Chiang Rai.
