The PGA Tour unveiled its schedule for the 2018-19 campaign, officially listing the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit for June 24-30 at Detroit Golf Club.
The FedExCup Playoffs will feature only three events for 2018-19 instead of four like in years past.
The PGA Tour made an annual stop in Minnesota from 1930-69, mostly at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood.

So even though a major championship has been moved to end the season earlier, it really doesn't alleviate any of the scheduling glut for big-name players who are, at minimum, looking at five tournaments in six weeks, including a major and a WGC.
After the RBC Heritage and Zurich Classic of New Orleans comes the Wells Fargo Championship.
The Open Championship, meanwhile, will be held at Royal Portrush July 15-21, marking its return to Northern Ireland after almost 70 years.
