According to Borovoi, if the European countries decide to support radical statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, "sanity will prevail" and the construction of the Russian gas pipeline may be blocked.
Trump made the comments at a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels on Wednesday, telling Germany it was wrong to support an $11-billion Baltic Sea pipeline to import even more Russian gas while being slow to meet targets for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation spending. Seated across from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the president said US commitments to European defense were undermined by Germany's ties to the Russian energy sector. I think that in this context this is the most urgent: we need to ensure that transit through Ukraine continues, vice-president of the EC said.
Critics argue that the Nord Stream 2 is unnecessary and is a politically inspired move by Russian Federation to avoid paying transit fees to Poland, the Baltic states and, most important, Ukraine for the right to transport natural gas through these countries on its way to Europe.
And we stressed our well-known concerns about Nord Stream 2, Sefcovic said at a press conference on Thursday after the EU-U.S. Energy Council held in Brussels.
Nord Stream 2 pushed back against Trump's comments, noting that the pipeline route doesn't come with a requirement that Germany purchase the gas that's shipped in. According to Trump, after the installation of this gas pipeline, Germany will get about 70% of its energy resources from Russian Federation.

However, a move by China against U.S. multi-nationals "could pose a far greater threat to the index in time", Jones said. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch said the announcement "appears reckless and is not a targeted approach".
Anderson's lefty shot takes him to Wimbledon final
Of course, there was another player on the other side of the net - for whom Anderson's triumph was a tragedy: Isner. Anderson finished with 49 aces and 118 winners; Isner had 53 aces and 129 winners.
He added that "I think these countries have to step it up, not over a 10 year period, they have to step it up immediately".
The pipeline has caused splits within the European Union, with Poland and other eastern states fearing it could be used as a tool to boost Russian influence over the bloc.
"We discussed it with Ukraine", Freeland said. She said that she has explored the issues with Ukraine which confronts the pipeline due to the influence it would provide Russian Federation over European countries.
"But the decision (for such projects - ed.) countries are sovereign". This one was in German Chancellor Angela Merkel's direction and aimed at the country's dependency on natural gas imports from Russian Federation.
Trump admin opposed resolution that promotes breastfeeding
When that failed, they turned to threats, according to diplomats and government officials who took part in the discussions. Starting infants out on a substitute in a maternity ward can make breastfeeding more hard for mothers later.
Leaked Galaxy Tab S4 render reveals the new S Pen
Also, the clip that was making the previous iteration a bit similar to a traditional pen is apparently missing in the new version. It also appears to have a 10.5-inch screen - bigger than the 9.7-inch Tab S3 screen but the same size as the Galaxy Tab S .
