Here is when Perseids shower peaks in Oman this month

PERSEID METEOR SHOWER You can see between 60 and 70 meteors per hour
The Perseids reach their peak in the early hours of August 13 when up to 70 per hour should be visible. And human habitation in the area can be dated as far back as 10,000 years ago, making this dark sky park the most ancient site in America to view the Perseids.

The peak nights for this year's shower will be from August 11 to 12 and August 12 to 13, with more than 100 meteors visible per hour, according to Gary Boyle, an Ottawa-based astronomer. And this coming weekend, another cosmic wonder will be lighting up the sky: hundreds of meteors during the annual Perseid meteor shower.
The Earth will pass through the debris every year during its orbit.
The particles - which can be as small as a grain of sand - meet a fiery end after roughly a thousand years as part of the comet's dust cloud. "Remember, you don't have to look directly at the constellation to see them".
The best time to see those meteors is at around 11 p.m. ET until dawn the next morning.
As meteors enter the earth's atmosphere they leave streaks of light in the sky, which some people call shooting stars. The longer you're outside in the dark, the better your vision of the meteors will be.
Mosquitoes in Perth County Test Positive For WNV
In 2012, the last time Dallas County saw a major outbreak of West Nile virus, 398 residents contracted the virus and 21 died. People older than 50 are most at risk for WNV infection as are those with weakened immune systems.
If you intend to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower this year, be sure to watch between midnight and dawn. However, NASA meteor expert Bill Cooke said he's inclined to lean toward the night of august 12-13 being a better show.
When can I see it?
Just allow yourself 30 minutes for your eyes to get adjusted to the dark.
Patience is also a virtue, with shooting stars tending to appear in clusters, followed by a lull.
Once they show up in the sky, the Perseids appear to radiate from the Constellation Perseus which has earned them their namesake.
A cloudy night could still scupper your chances of spotting any meteors, however, so keep your eye on weather forecasts.

The move comes as the National Basketball Association is expected to eliminate the one-and-done rule within the next five years. But USA Basketball, according to Wojnarowski, doesn't have the interest or resources to carry out that task.
