Since the individual lot, PW05264, of the product is involved in a potential mix-up of labeling, Accord is recalling this individual lot from the market.
Accord Healthcare has recalled one lot of 12.5-milligram hydrochlorothiazide tablets because the 100-count bottle was discovered to contain 100 spironolactone tablets.
Instead of the blood pressure medication hydrochlorothiazide, the bottles were filled with 100 tablets of 25 mg USP spironolactone, which is used to treat congestive heart failure and cirrhosis.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a recall of a hypertension medication.
The hydrochlorothiazide tablets are light orange or peach in color, are round, and have an "H" on one side and a "1" on the other.
Eminem drops surprise new album Kamikaze

If you're taking any kind of prescription medication for your high blood pressure, it's worth double-checking your medicine cabinet.
Spironolactone can be used to treat heart problems, high blood pressure, low potassium levels and fluid retention for some maladies, according to emedicinehealth.com.
The effects of mixing up the medications - both help bodies get rid of extra salt and water - depend on the individual but can range from "limited" to "life-threatening", FDA officials said.
If you are in possession of Accord Hydrochlorothiazide that does not match the associated image or if you are unsure, Accord says you should return it to your pharmacy or health care provider for confirmation. Drugs containing valsartan experienced a recall over concerns over the drug being tainted with a compound that potentially increases cancer risks.
The FDA has said that only one lot of hydrochlorathiazide was affected by the labeling mix-up, though the agency did not say how many bottles were in the shipment.
