Big boots: Rashford's numbers put him up there with Ronaldo

14 September 2018, 08:57 | Pamela Mathis

There is huge competition for places at his club so you can understand that.

Frustration: Rashford has found opportunities at Old Trafford hard to come by.

Rashford scored two goals in two games during the worldwide break, opening the scoring in a 2-1 defeat to Spain and scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Switzerland.

Speaking on Sky Sports during their coverage of England's 1-0 win over Switzerland, as reported by TalkSPORT, Carragher urged the striker to consider a move for the sake of his career.

"Jose thinks the world of Marcus".

A United source said: "Marcus loves the club and does not want to move but he wants to be a striker or at least play down the middle as a No 10".

"Everything he's got - he's got pace, power, he'll learn as he's still young".

But a brief look at the numbers throws that notion under serious question: Rashford has made over 100 appearances under Mourinho alone, started in an FA Cup final in May, scored against all of the top six aside from Tottenham Hotspur, and hardly ever missed out on the squad.

Apple Event: 5 Big Things Announced, Including New iPhones
Unlike the flagship models, it comes in a handful of new colors including white, black, blue, coral, yellow, and (PRODUCT) RED. The XR uses the LCD screens of Apple's past, and lacks the pressure-sensing 3D Touch feature that debuted on the iPhone 6S.

Rashford subsequently went to Euro 2016 as England's boy wonder but only played a cameo role in that tournament and was then largely a substitute at this summer's World Cup. They play a lot of games so he will get his opportunity.

"In that position you have got to be world class. Rashford is not world class yet, but he might be at 23 or 24, as Lukaku has done".

But according to The Sun, Rashford has no desire to leave Old Trafford.

But the United academy graduate will have to make a tough decision if he fails to earn a place in Jose Mourinho's starting line up.

'He is not going to give up trying to prove himself at United but he knows he may have a big decision to make soon'.

Rashford did not do his chances of starting the next game any favours though last time out at Burnley after being sent off for a headbutt on Phil Bardsley.

Mourinho's side will be looking to end Watford's ideal start in the new campaign in a Premier League match set for Vicarage Road.
