Apple: Consumers Will Pay up for Big Screens

The new Apple phone – dubbed the iPhone XS – which will come in a choice of 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch organic light-emitting-diode screens and be available in a never-before-seen gold colour

Apple claims that iPhone models that were shipped between September 2017 and March 2018 in some markets like China, Japan, New Zealand, or the United States are affected by the issue. The image shared by Slash leaks shows the smartphone 6.1-inch LCD iPhone in three different colours, of which two are new. It will have an OLED screen and it will come with a gold color option, according to 9 to 5 Mac.

All signs are pointing to Apple releasing three new iPhones next week at its September 12 event.

This year, key details regarding Apple's upcoming iPhone have leaked yet again with the release of a marketing image of a revamped iPhone X alongside a larger iPhone X model. Specifically, the Cupertino company firm shipped more than 15 million iPhone 8 units, which helped Apple remain its dominance on the market. The report adds that the two top-end iPhones will come with 4GB of RAM, which would be a step up from 3GB of RAM from the iPhone X. These phones are also expected to get the new A12 chipset. The design for the LCD phone is expected to be more or less like the iPhone X too.

This is in contrast to the previous three generations of iPhones, which had the higher versions with the suffix "plus". It's possible that the follow up to the 5.8-inch iPhone X, potentially called iPhone X S, will start at $900 to $1000, while the 6.5-inch device will be priced at a $150 premium. According to a report from 9to5Mac, it will actually be called the iPhone Xs Max. Apple has announced that the launch event will be on the 12 of September.

In addition to the rumoured moniker and larger size, the iPhone XS Max (or iPhone XS Plus) is expected to offer a huge battery. Leveraging the faster processor, deeper Siri integration, and new version of iOS, called out by Bloomberg, the iPhone XS aims to be a powerhouse device for getting work done on the go.

A attendee uses a new iPhone X during a presentation for the media in Beijing, China October 31, 2017. Reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo back in June also stated that the LCD model could be priced for $600-$700.

What is the iPhone XS?

After announcing the phones on September 12, there's a strong chance Apple will open the pre-orders on September 14 and have them on sale by September 21.
