'No Friend Would Do This': Lindsey Graham Calls Out Dems for Leaking Ford's Letter

Graham Calls for Investigation of Feinstein's Office, Ford's Lawyers

A news conference Monday afternoon to announce a revamped trade agreement between the United States, Canada and Mexico quickly veered off course, after reporters began asking President Donald Trump about the FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

"I had one beer!" he said, which Blasey Ford testified regarding her alcohol consumption at the Maryland party where she alleges Kavanaugh assaulted her.

But Trump spent much of the rally lamenting the treatment of Kavanaugh by Democrats, whose attacks he said had taken their toll on the judge's family.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate, made up of 51 Republicans and 49 Democrats, will be "voting this week" on advancing the Kavanaugh nomination, setting up a possible final confirmation vote this weekend or early next week.

The Senate has delayed a confirmation vote on Kavanaugh while the FBI conducts a background investigation into Blasey Ford's allegations.

"Oh, good. How'd you get home?" 'I don't remember.' How many years ago was it? 'I don't remember.' Where is the place? However, there are more vulnerable Democrats than Republicans in this year's midterm elections.

"I don't think Republicans realize what they've unleashed", she added.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Mr Trump said: "My whole life I've heard, "you're innocent until proven guilty", but now you're guilty until proven innocent".

At his rally, the president mocked Ford's testimony with a question-and-answer patter that brought cheers from the crowd in Southaven, Mississippi.

The President thinks "women are doing great" and are out to get every man out there, but this couldn't be any farther from the truth! He defended Kavanaugh, lamenting "What he's gone through" since the allegations surfaced.

Trump said that the current situation meant that some men are "guilty until proven innocent".

"A man's life is in tatters, a man's life is shattered", Trump said. "I never drank", Trump said. 'I don't know.' Where's the house? Flake has said Kavanaugh's nomination would end if the FBI investigation found he had lied in his Senate testimony.

Preventing Kavanaugh from getting onto the Court is a question of "core principles", according to Blumenthal.

"But here's what we know. one thing for sure".

A lawyer for Mr Judge, who has denied any wrongdoing, declined to say when the interview finished or what he was asked.

Judge's interview started but "has not been completed", his attorney said in a statement quoted by Fox News.

Deborah Ramirez, who said Mr Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party, is also understood to have now been interviewed.
