Google employees, who walked off the job to protest the internet company's lenient treatment of executives accused of sexual misconduct, leave after attending a protest rally on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, in NY.

He was one of three executives The New York Times accused Google of protecting and supporting after being accused of sexual misconduct.

A similar scene was witnessed at Google offices in India, Dublin, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Zurich, Berlin, Chicago, Seattle and at its headquarters in Mountain View, California.

But the Times uncovered new details, including a reported $90 million exit package that Rubin is said to have been granted when he departed the company. Rubin has denied the allegations and claimed he was the victim of a "smear campaign".

The demonstration comes after Google CEO Pichai sent out memos stating the company was taking a hard stance against inappropriate behavior and that employees would have the support they needed to show up for the protests.

"Employees have raised constructive ideas for how we can improve our policies and our processes", he said.

Currently, the company requires employees to waive their right to sue in cases of sexual harassment, and often includes confidentiality agreements, the Times reports.

The New York rally occurs after Google employees across offices in Europe and Asia also staged walkouts.

On the Twitter account for @GoogleWalkout, there's a list of demands from employees, including putting an end to private arbitration in instances of sexual harassment and assault.

Google employee Coleen Elliot addresses the crowd Thursday during the Boulder Google Campus "Walkout For Real Change".

"None of the allegations made about Mr. Rubin are true", he told CNN Business in a statement, calling them "demonstrably false". Rubin is just one of the executives Google reportedly protected. DeVaul had remained at the "X" lab after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced about him a few years ago, but he resigned Tuesday without severance, Google confirmed Wednesday. "But in reality we're not even meeting the basics of respect, justice, and fairness for every single person here", said Claire Stephenson, a Google product manager to the Times.

Part of the employees' concerns are the allegations that Google gave two fired senior executives "exit packages" upon their dismissal.
