Fox News doesn't condone Sean Hannity appearance with Trump

TONIGHT, 9:00pm ET: Hannity One-on-One With President Trump on Election Eve
For a grand finale to his campaign blitz Monday night, President Trump invited his advisers, including press secretary Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway, and Trump's favorite Fox News pundits, Sean Hannity and Judge Jeanine Pirro, on stage in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to sing his praises.
"Fox News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events", Fox News said in a statement obtained by EW. Hannity himself had tweeted: "To be clear, I will not be on stage campaigning with the president".
When Hannity took the stage, he delighted the crowd by calling the reporters in the back of the room "fake news".
Fox News, with its conservative-leaning talk shows, some of which are unabashedly pro-Trump like Hannity's, has long had a unique relationship with the Trump administration.
In his original Tweet, Hannity had echoed the sentiments of his employer, saying that he would only be broadcasting his normal show from the rally.
In October, Fox said Hannitys show was the most-watched cable-news program for the seventh consecutive month.
It's considered standard for employees of news organizations not to engage in political campaign activities so their outlets do not appear unfair; some journalists go so far as to not vote at all for this reason.
Hannity being at the rally was announced ahead of time, though not the extent of his participation in it. "The press is very much considering it a referendum on me and us as a movement".
He wasn't the only Fox News host to appear on stage at the rally.
Americans Prepare to Render Midterm Verdict on Trump
Another way to read the tea-leaves is to look at the popularity of the two parties themselves, as revealed in the generic ballot. Having elected someone president, Americans are collectively ready to punch him on the nose after just 24 months.
"It disturbs me to my core", another Fox News staffer agreed.
"To be clear, I will not be on stage campaigning with the President".
The latest incident wasnt the first time Fox News has had to chide Hannity for his closeness to the president.
What was so disgusting about Fox News on Monday night was the way Hannity operated straight out of the propaganda handbook using techniques to mock and vilify opponents that had been used by the publicity machines of fascist leaders since the 1930s in Europe during the early days of electronic mass communications.
One Fox News employee described to CNN Business the scene at the NY headquarters of Fox News at the time, as a number of journalists inside the company's news division watched the episode unfold live.
Hannity said on Tuesday that he was not referring to Fox News journalists when he made the comment. "Anyone doing business with Fox News should worry about the network's inability to enforce even the most bare minimum standards".
President Trump is holding his final midterm rally in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, just nine hours before the polls open in the state.
Fox News draws a distinction between its opinion and news sides of the house.
USA drops the sanctions hammer on Iran ... again
We are prepared to resist any pressure", Rouhani said. "Until then, our historic sanctions will remain in full force", he said. Right now they just want to survive", he told a rally in Tennessee, Reuters reported .
