Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus coaches his players to emulate THAT Owen Farrell tackle

Rassie Erasmus Trolls World Rugby By Teaching Springbok Owen Farrell Tackle 'Technique'

There was a dramatic incident at the end of last weekend's Test between England and South Africa at Twickenham when Australian referee Angus Gardner opted not to award the Springboks a penalty after it appeared as though England flyhalf Farrell had executed a unsafe no-arms tackle on Bok replacement Andre Esterhuizen.

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus" comments dripped with sarcasm after Owen Farrell's armless, unpunished "tackle' from Saturday's clash at Twickenham.

Farrell faced no punishment after World Rugby, the global governing body, confirmed on Sunday night that the independent match commissioner had studied events at Twickenham and deemed no citings were required.

"Obviously there was a lot of hype about the tackle".

Erasmus suggested at the Springboks' post-match press conference that his team would start tackling opponents in a similar manner if it were legal to do so. If that is right, we should also start tackling like that.

In a video from South Africa's training in Paris, where they are preparing to face France this weekend, Erasmus is seen taking Andre Esterhuizen through three different tackle techniques.

South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus was asked about the tackle after the game and gave a brilliant sarcastic response, saying the tackle was very "effective" and that "we should do it".
