Football Leaks: Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal And Manchester City Allegedly Involved In Plans For A European Super League
There has always been speculation over a European Super League which could involve the richest clubs breaking away from their national associations and playing outwith the governance of continental ruling body UEFA in order to increase their income.
As per reports, big clubs in Europe were working on a breakaway league.
The Bundesliga clubs participating in the league would include Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04.
The plan outlined in the documents reportedly makes no mention of UEFA, European football's governing body, which organises the Champions League.
The proposed tournament would feature 11 of Europe's biggest clubs, known as the "founders", who would not face relegation and be guaranteed membership for 20 years.
The magazine also said that Bayern three years ago briefly looked into the legal aspects of not only breaking away from European competition but also the domestic Bundesliga, in connection with past Super League speculation.

Pres. Trump says government will halt if Dems investigate him
Trump said he is "looking at different people for different positions", adding that "it is very common after the midterms". At his news conference, Trump said "there was nothing sarcastic" about his praise, saying she had "fought long and hard".
"Der Spiegel" reported the most recent document was sent to Real Madrid on October 22, with a plan to finalise arrangements later this month.
Such a league would spell the end for the Champions League in its current form, Der Spiegel says in its report, which is based on investigations by the Football Leaks platform and made available to the European Investigative Collaborations reporting group.
City have since come out and denied the allegations, claiming 'the attempt to damage the club's reputation is organised and clear.
"To achieve that goal, some clubs have apparently even been willing to betray the traditional cooperation between the clubs and the national leagues, one which has provided the framework for European football for decades", Spiegel's report reads.
Rummenigge said in a Bayern statement: "I absolutely and clearly reject this".
Watzke added that such plans were apparently "not very concrete" yet and said Dortmund would not leave the Bundesliga for a new competition.
