Sarkar collects Rs 75 Cr on its opening day

Now the top director moved to Madras High Court requesting for anticipatory bail following the Sarkar controversy row. Also a woman character's name, apparently referring to the late AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, was muted after backlash from the ruling party workers.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth Friday lashed out at the ruling AIADMK for staging protests against "Sarkar", questioning the rationale behind protesting against a film certified by the Censor Board.
