Sarkar movie controversy: Madras High Court restrains..rom arresting director AR Murugadoss till 27 November
Now the top director moved to Madras High Court requesting for anticipatory bail following the Sarkar controversy row. Also a woman character's name, apparently referring to the late AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, was muted after backlash from the ruling party workers.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth Friday lashed out at the ruling AIADMK for staging protests against "Sarkar", questioning the rationale behind protesting against a film certified by the Censor Board. However, the Madras High Court has told the police to refrain from arresting the filmmaker till November 27.
