White House revokes CNN reporter's press pass after clash with Trump
Trump eventually said to him, after some heated back and forth, "Honestly, I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN, and if you did it well, your ratings would be much better" - before trying to move along to another reporter.
However, people on social media quickly pointed out that the video is clearly doctored, speed up and edited to falsely make it appear like Acostaplaced his hands on the intern in what Sanders called "inappropriate behavior". Trump had called the reporter a "rude and awful person" after Acosta shot several questions at him during a post midterm election press conference.
The heated exchange began after Acosta clung to the microphone and persisted with questions about the president's repeated and angry denunciation of a caravan of poor Central American migrants making their way through Mexico to the United States border.
"When you say 'doctored, ' you're a dishonest guy", Trump told the reporter on November 9.
"The fact that the White House press secretary is promoting this doctored video is reprehensible, and grounds for dismissal".
On Friday, the president lambasted CNN White House correspondent Abby D. Phillip after she questioned him about special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe after the appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general.
The president also chided journalist April Ryan of American Urban Radio network, calling her "a loser". "Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be fired and sent to live in a Joanne's Fabric store for all the rest of her days", said Kimmel.

It was incredible to face their quality spinners. "It won't sink in until afterwards, when I speak to family and stuff". An LBW appeal when Jennings was on 58 was turned down and Sri Lanka chose - erroneously it turned out - not to review.
"When I stood up, in his response, he tells me to 'sit down, ' in a condescending, very ugly matter", Ryan said.
Donald Trump is not backing down from personal attacks on reporters.
In between his calls for "respect", Trump called Acosta "unprofessional" and disparaged the reporter's intelligence.
Trump also criticized CNN contributor April Ryan. As for what the president had to say about Mr. Acosta, Trump said he believes Acosta "is a very unprofessional man". "You ask a lot of stupid questions".
A White House aide tried to take the microphone away from Acosta, who refused to surrender it. "She doesn't know what the hell she is doing". Trump responded in a vicious tone, "What a stupid question". "Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately because you can see for yourself what it is, perception is reality with this president".
"I watch her get up - I mean, you talk about somebody that's a loser".
