'We are tired of the abuse': Undocumented immigrant reveals that she and others have worked for Trump for years
The domestic employees, one who still works at the club, said they served directly for the Trump family and were repeatedly harassed by their superiors due to their immigration status, according to their lawyer.
"We have tens of thousands of employees across our properties, and have very strict hiring practices", Amanda Miller, the company's senior vice president for marketing and corporate communications, said in a statement to the outlet. "If an employee submitted false documentation in an attempt to circumvent the law, they will be terminated immediately".
A woman working as a housekeeper at President Donald Trump's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey - trusted to make Trump's bed and iron the president's clothes - revealed that she is an unauthorized immigrant in an interview with the New York Times. One of the women has since become a legal US resident.
"While Trump boasts about jobs and his hardline immigration policies, these courageous women have put their own jobs and lives on the line to pursue justice for themselves and other exploited workers", said Sandra Cordero, director of Families Belong Together.
Trump could often provide welcome incentives to staff, presenting them with cash tips.
Ms Morales, who earns US$13 an hour, said employees had become increasingly upset by Mr Trump's negative rhetoric about Hispanic immigrants and said a supervisor berated them as "stupid illegal immigrants". Trump used his national security powers to put in place regulations that denied asylum to anyone caught crossing illegally, but a judge has halted that change as a lawsuit progresses.
Since his election, Trump has pushed for passage of his "Four Pillars" immigration reforms, which would curb legal and illegal immigration, so pushing up wages for hotel maids and every other blue-collar person.

The White House did not immediately respond to Newsweek's request for comment.
Their attorney Anibal Romero claims at least a dozen undocumented immigrants are on the club's payroll which, if true, conflicts with the president's position on illegal immigration.
"I'm exhausted of being humiliated and treated like a stupid person", she said in Spanish during a brief interview. She understands she could be deported. Noticing that Ms. Morales, who is shy of five feet tall, could not reach the top, he said, "Excuse me", grabbed her rag and wiped the upper portion of the glass.
"I ask myself, is it possible that this señor thinks we have papers?"
The article suggests that Trump's refusal to question her status is evidence that he knew she was an illegal migrant, and that he is a hypocrite for employing illegals while championing pro-American reforms. "Why wouldn't he figure it out?"
