Bizarre video shows prowler licking family's doorbell for three whole hours

A family in Salinas, California, might be ready to deliver a tongue-lashing to the prowler their security camera caught licking their doorbell ― for three hours.

The family said their phone alerted them to movement on their home security camera and that's how they became aware of the man on their property.

The clear footage shows the man leaning his head against the intercom outside their front door and licking the doorbell from several different angles.

The Salinas Police Department has identified the individual as 33-year-old Roberto Daniel Arroyo.

The incident happened at a residence in Salinas.

The man licked the door bell for three hours.

"I thought boy there's a lot of traffic", said homeowner Sylvia Dunga.

Dungan said that her children were asleep inside the home at the time but were not awoken by Arroyo's presence.

Police are searching for the suspect and say that he could face two misdemeanor charges for petty theft and prowling.
