Transfer: Arsenal battle Man United for Dalian Yifang star

Foot Mercato report that Arsenal held a meeting with representatives of Belgian global winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco yesterday, as a departure for the former Monaco man from Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang looks increasingly likely.

As such, the Gunners have been linked with a number of forward-thinking players, most notably Denis Suarez and Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco.

Yannick Carrasco has interest from Milan, Arsenal and Manchester United, but the player prefers a move to the Premier League and more specifically Arsenal.

Carrasco left Atletico Madrid in February of previous year to make a move Chinese side Dalian Yifang, but it's looking increasingly likely that he'll be moving away from China less than 12 months after arriving in the country.

Arsenal have been a mixed bag this season under Unai Emery and although they deserve massive credit for keeping in touch with the top four, the Spaniard still needs to address a lot of problems in the ongoing January transfer window. But reports today have put Arsenal at the head of the queue for his signature.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has agreed to join Juventus in the summer, Sky Sports News understands.

Carrasco is on a high wage and his Chinese club would be unwilling to sell him for a low fee.

The Metro claim his current club Dalian Yifang will want to recoup the £26.5m they paid for Carrasco a year ago but we'll have to wait and see if the Gunners are willing to pay that kind of money for the exciting winger.
