Report: Knicks, Kings Talking Trade Involving Enes Kanter, Zach Randolph

Knicks talking possible Kanter trade with Kings

Kanter is due to make $18.6 million this season, while Randolph will be getting $11.6 million.

Wojnarowski adds that the two sides are not close yet and the Kings would like to trade away more of their expiring contracts in a deal.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday morning that the Knicks are in talks with the Sacramento Kings to trade the expiring contract of Kanter's for Zach Randolph, who will also be a free agent following the 2018-19 season. Randolph has yet to play.

New York Knicks center Enes Kanter could reportedly be swapping coasts. Hence why a third team might be needed.

Both players are on expiring contracts. Randolph, 37, has not appeared in a game. The report noted a Western Conference team like the Clippers and the Kings would make sense. He spent the 2007-08 season and part of the following season with the Knicks.

Michy Batshuayi loan cut short by Valencia
Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Monaco . Alemany said via the Telegraph : " Batshuayi's situation is very clear.

For Kanter, it provides a much-needed change of scenery as his playing time continues to be sporadic under first-year head coach David Fizdale.

As mentioned in a previous post, there are several unidentified teams interested in trading for Kanter.

So far this season Kanter is averaging 14.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per game and the center attracted worldwide attention last week after refusing to travel to London due to fears of being assassinated.

With the trade deadline nearby, expect a lot more trade discussions. It's unclear what else the Knicks might be looking for in the trade.
