Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump

Trump responded to the story Saturday during a telephone interview broadcast on Fox News Channel after host Jeanine Pirro, a personal friend, asked the Russian Federation question. He also reportedly told Russian officials visiting the White House that firing Comey, who he called a "nut job", had relieved "great pressure because of Russia".

In one instance, following a meeting with Putin in Hamburg in 2017, Trump took personal possession of notes from an interpreter and directed a linguist - who was there to help translate the conversation - not to discuss details from the meeting with anyone, including senior-level administration officials.

"I have concluded that the Treasury Department's proposal is flawed and fails to sufficiently limit Oleg Deripaska's control and influence of these companies, and the Senate should move to block this misguided effort by the Trump Administration and keep these sanctions in place", the New York Democrat said in a statement.

How did Trump & the White House respond?

"This is about the most serious counterintelligence people we have in the USA government saying, 'Oh, my God, the president's words and actions lead us to conclude that somehow he has become a witting, unwitting, or half-witting pawn, certainly in some regards, to Vladimir Putin, '" Bernstein explained during his appearance on Reliable Sources.

No evidence has publicly emerged that Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian officials, the Times said.

The Washington Post reported Saturday that Trump had gone to "extraordinary lengths" to hide the specifics of his conversations with Putin.

As a result, US officials said there is no detailed record, even in classified files, of Trump's face-to-face interactions with the Russian leader at five locations over the past two years.

Masinga joined Swiss side St Gallen in 1996 and later moved to Italian sides Salernitana and Bari. "I am really gutted". The president of the South African Football Association, Danny Jordan, said: " Sad day for South African football ".

In the Fox News interview, Trump questioned why the newspaper made such a "big deal" out of his discussions with Putin in Helsinki last summer.

"We have a humanitarian crisis, to put it mildly", the president told Pirro.

He compared his conversations with Putin to what "every president does - you sit with the president of various countries". "Anybody could have listened to that meeting, that meeting is up for grabs". "I'm not keeping anything under wraps".

And Johnson also said he was wary of Trump declaring a national emergency in order to build a wall along the southern border. "They've actually gotten me wrong for many years before that".

"I mean, it's so ridiculous, these people making up", Trump said, claiming the Post is a "lobbyist" for Bezos' interests. Such a gap would be unusual in any presidency, let alone one that Russian Federation sought to install through what US intelligence agencies have described as an unprecedented campaign of election interference.

"This is just at odds with how presidents have conducted diplomacy for decades and decades In the United States", said Washington Post reporter Greg Miller in a Sunday interview with NPR's Lulu Garcia-Navarro.

"In fact, when I was sacked as director, I still didn't know whether there was anything to it", Comey said in testimony, according to the transcript.
